Wilner Places at Mission San Jose Invitational

Senior Josh Wilner took 6th Place at the very prestigious Mission San Jose Invitational Wrestling Tournament.
In the 35 year history of this tournament, it has become known as one of the toughest, late season tournaments in the state. In fact, MSJ draws teams not only from California, but from other states as well. Making it to the second day, let alone placing, is a huge accomplishment and placing is often a good step toward placing at the North Coast Section tournament.
Along the way to taking home 6th Place, Wilner defeated wresters from some very good Northern California programs, including Mission San Jose, James Logan, and De La Salle. OUTSTANDING WORK, JOSH!
Not to be overlooked is the performance by Freshman Griffith Gates who made it to day two and compiled a very solid 3-2 record over the two days. GREAT JOB, GRIF!
Next up for the Falcons is the final EBAL Dual Meet of the 2009-10 wrestling season at cross town rival Amador on Wednesday. Wrestling starts at 7pm (JV's at 6pm).
GO FALCONS!
